The truth is, anybody can post a laundering line of credentials or say anything to impress the public. The only way you can really know our qualifications is by contacting our references, and that we will do for you. If you need references we will provide them at your request. To receive a list contact us from our contact page. To protect their privacy, we will otherwise keep their information confidential.
It's sad to say, but in this business there is no real certification worth retaining or presenting. Our references are reliable and trusted individuals within our community.

Where do we start? Well, we have been in this business since 1992.
We started with 4 years road experience, working for the Regis Corp in Minneapolis, Mn. For them, we traveled throughout 40 states installing granite, marble and porcelain tile in their salons. Let me tell you, this will exhaust a young man quick!
Custom residential has been our ongoing forte for years now. We specialize in custom showers, mud work, natural stone flat work, and design work. With the latest technology manifested in waterproofing agents along with sealers, your shower will not only last, but have lasting beauty and luster. With today's generation of sealers, there is no more grout staining in general (this also applies to natural stone surfaces, terra cotta, and unglazed porcelain surfaces).

As I have previously mentioned, Wedi shower products are now taking over our old school methods. It's a little more in cost, but you get 1/2 inch of waterproof backer board and the base as well is completely waterproof. Don't be mislead by cement based backer units stating aqua tough. They are not damaged by water, but water does travel through them. This is why we have to use water barriers either under or over them in shower applications. These are typically 30 to 40 mil. Compare that to 1/2".

Here is a photo of a large shower built with total Wedi shower solution.

These photos were taken to display the proper installation procedures for unimat or ditra applications. Despite what the manufacturers suggest, I recommend using a 1/4 notch trowel and at least an 80 lb. roller to assure a full mesh bond to the sub floor. Using  a 1/4 notch does not interfere with the purpose of the product by (thinset mortar)  surfacing above the meshed bottom structure of the product. Better safe than sorry!
